The Moreno Valley Road Runners Club holds its 13th annual Turkey Run on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Dam Area of Lake Perris State Recreation Area, on a flat course along the dam that is closed to vehicle traffic. Before the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 a.m., children run their own Kids Championship Races by age: a free 50-meter Toddler Dash for ages 3 and under at 8:00 a.m., a 200-meter race for ages 4–5, a short race for ages 6–7, and a Championship Mile for ages 8–12 at 8:15 a.m. Toddlers receive a participation ribbon, the top three boys and girls in each older kids' race get awards, and every finisher of the timed races gets a medal; the first 50 registrants also receive an event T-shirt. Walkers and joggers are welcome in the 5K and 10K alongside competitive runners, so parents can take part too. Packet pick-up and registration open at 7:30 a.m., and the club says race-day registration may be available.
