About this adventure

Celebrating more than three decades of holiday magic, WildLights illuminates the desert nocturnal wonderland of The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens with over a million sparkling LED lights. Guests stroll among glowing life-sized animal lantern sculptures—including majestic desert bighorn sheep, cheetahs, and giraffes—while passing beneath a dramatic synchronized light tunnel dancing to cheerful seasonal songs. A perennial favorite for young kids is the expansive 3,300-foot G-scale model train display, decorated with miniature snow villages and whimsical holiday motifs. Children can take a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel, roast gourmet s'mores over open fire pits, and visit Santa Claus through Christmas Eve (followed by photos with the Grinch after Christmas). Zoo pathways are wide, paved, and fully stroller and wheelchair accessible.
