The parade brings decorated floats, marching bands and, at the end, Santa himself through the historic downtown around the courthouse square. A late-morning daytime parade is easy with small children: no cold night wait, and families can make a morning of it with lunch downtown afterward. Downtown Dallas lists the event as a family tradition and points to the Rotary Club's own parade page for route details and float entries. Arrive early to find a curbside spot along the route and parking near the square. It pairs with the city's tree lighting two weeks earlier on November 21. ## Similar picks in Atlanta - [Jingle Jamboree Christmas Parade and Celebration — Douglasville](https://grassyknees.com/atlanta/activities/jingle-jamboree-christmas-parade-and-celebration-douglasville--listing-1becbc518ea5e84fcaeb4c6d) — Fri, Dec 4 · 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM · Church Street and Douglasville Town Green · Free · checked Oct 20.
