Children ages 5 to 12 make colourful paper kites at the McDonough Public Library on Monday, October 19, 2026, 6 to 7 p.m., while learning about Ben Franklin's famous kite experiment as part of the library's America 250 celebration. It is a hands-on craft with a bit of science history — a good evening activity for elementary-age kids, who can take their kite home. Free, no registration listed.
