The free family event has sweet treats, market vendors, live music, free activities for children and screenings of Grinch movies. The headline draw is a photo with the Grinch himself: the city asks families to bring a non-perishable food donation in exchange for the photo, so pack a can or box of food per child. It is an outdoor evening event in a neighborhood park, so bring jackets, and a blanket or chairs if you plan to stay for a movie. It suits all ages, from toddlers who want a Grinch photo to older kids who know the story. No registration is needed for visitors; vendor and sponsor applications are handled separately through KyleRec. ## Similar picks in Austin - [Nutcracker Ballet – Excerpts for small children and families](https://grassyknees.com/austin/activities/nutcracker-ballet-excerpts-for-small-children-and-families--listing-a424f29291db4bf46f6b4c53) — Mon, Dec 7 · 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM · Round Rock Public Library · Free · checked Oct 14.
