The market is built around the Kwanzaa principle of Ujamaa (cooperative economics): visitors can do holiday shopping with local Black-owned businesses selling handcrafted art, jewelry, clothing, sweet treats, body and hair care, home decor and accessories. The county says the vendors have shown a commitment to reinvesting profits, resources or time back into the community. The county page links an Eventbrite registration for visitors and a separate application form for vendors. ## Similar picks in Baltimore - [The Gingerbread Man Story Time (Savage Library)](https://grassyknees.com/baltimore/activities/the-gingerbread-man-story-time-savage-library--listing-7ce9f7312a2444f10de3e303) — Sat, Dec 19 · 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM · Howard County Library System – Savage Branch, Laurel · checked Oct 16.
