The evening brings musical performances on an outdoor stage and a holiday vendor village of local food trucks and tents, and it ends with a fireworks display as the thousands of LED light strings on the Washington Monument are switched on. The event also raises awareness of the Conservancy's work maintaining and restoring the parks of Mount Vernon Place. The Conservancy says a vendor map will be posted closer to the date so visitors can plan their evening. ## Similar picks in Baltimore - [Monument Lighting Artisan Marketplace at the Walters](https://grassyknees.com/baltimore/activities/monument-lighting-artisan-marketplace-at-the-walters--listing-77db00c891ba0e688bd9dd75) — Thu, Dec 3 · 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM · The Walters Art Museum – Sculpture Court · All ages · Free · checked Oct 16.
