Visitors sample American Heritage Chocolate, made from a recipe dating to the 1750s, warm up at a hot cocoa station, and sit down to decorate holiday cards and make traditional tin crafts to take home. The two hours fit neatly around the monument lighting a few blocks away, and the museum is open free all day for Free First Thursday, so families can see the galleries earlier in the day too.
