There is a timed 5K on the park's loop trail and a one-mile fun walk/run that starts 25 minutes later, a comfortable distance for younger children. The event is stroller-friendly and leashed dogs are welcome (both should start toward the back of the pack), and there are restrooms in the park just behind the playground. The 5K offers age-group prizes donated by local businesses instead of medals, and youth pricing applies to runners under 18. Teams of four or more friends get a social-team rate. Packet pickup and race-day registration open at 8 a.m. at the River Birch Pavilion area; sign up at least 20 minutes before your start. ## Similar picks in Baltimore - [North Linthicum Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Walk at Overlook Park](https://grassyknees.com/baltimore/activities/north-linthicum-turkey-trot-5k-and-fun-walk-at-overlook-park--listing-752d83c815f1269fc7dbd671) — Sat, Nov 14 · 9:00 AM · Overlook Park, Linthicum Heights · From $25 · checked Oct 27.
