All the familiar characters appear — a strong-minded Clara, an eccentric Drosselmeyer, spooky rats and the Sugar Plum Fairy, danced by artistic director Lissa Curtis — and the Land of Sweets adds a company original, 'The Brave American', a patriotic number the audience is invited to sing and clap along to. The company offers free trauma-sensitive classes to survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and many of those dancers perform in the production. A 4:30 pm start suits families with younger children; optional Backstage Chats add a behind-the-scenes tour and a signed Sugar Plum Fairy photo. All sales are final. ## Similar picks in Boston - [Commonwealth Ballet's The Nutcracker (35th season) at Regis College](https://grassyknees.com/boston/activities/commonwealth-ballet-s-the-nutcracker-35th-season-at-regis-college--listing-29c0ed7d342e1ef101f204a4) — Fri, Nov 27 (+5 more dates) · 1:00 PM · Eleanor Welch Casey Theater, Regis College, Weston · All ages · Paid · checked Oct 16.
