Veterans may bring family members and friends of any age, which makes it a meaningful way for children to see the 1797 warship with a grandparent or parent who served. Because the ship is an active-duty Navy vessel, everyone 18 and older needs a federal or state photo ID, the whole group must arrive together and on time, and strollers, walkers and most wheelchairs stay on the pier; going below decks means climbing steep, ladder-like steps, so it suits children who can manage stairs. The tour is capped at 25 guests and every person, including children, must register in advance. ## Similar picks in Boston - [Veterans Day Celebration and Touch-a-Truck at Wenham Museum](https://grassyknees.com/boston/activities/veterans-day-celebration-and-touch-a-truck-at-wenham-museum--listing-11e301161e2d6c5ab2fd6fac) — Wed, Nov 11 · 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM · Wenham Museum · All ages · With admission · checked Oct 27.
