The route runs along Hwy 16 from N. Pilot Knob Road to Captain's Cap, and the parade goes ahead rain or shine unless the weather is dangerous. The organizers say the best viewing, with emcee introductions of each unit, is at or near Digitize4U and Dunkin' Donuts; park as close to the route as you can and pull off Hwy 16, keeping business entrances clear (the Captain's Cap lot is reserved for parade units). Accessible parking is at the Hotsy facility at Hwy 16 and Triangle Circle. Expect road closures on N. Pilot Knob Road and Business 16 from late morning. The parade supports the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center, and the next evening Santa lights the town tree at Lake Norman Lutheran Church. ## Similar picks in Charlotte - [Mint Hill Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting](https://grassyknees.com/charlotte/activities/mint-hill-christmas-parade-and-tree-lighting--listing-1831c576a11e7eb061edee7d) — Sat, Dec 5 · 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM · Mint Hill Town Hall (tree lighting); parade from Bain School along Matthews Mint Hill Road · checked Oct 14.
