The park district's own skaters take to the ice to show their skills, creativity and hard work in a program of holiday performances. The show runs for two hours on the second Saturday afternoon of December, and the park district says it is free to the public; the listing shows no tickets or registration. It pairs with the arena's Skate with Santa open skate the next afternoon for families who want to get on the ice themselves. ## Similar picks in Chicago - [Skate with Santa Open Skate at Oak Lawn Ice Arena](https://grassyknees.com/chicago/activities/skate-with-santa-open-skate-at-oak-lawn-ice-arena--listing-2a05f22cdc6559333093ab59) — Sun, Dec 13 · 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM · Oak Lawn Ice Arena · From $10 · checked Oct 27.
