Costumes are part of the fun: anyone who skates in costume gets in for half the regular admission, and the best costume of the night wins a prize. The session lasts an hour and a half. Skaters who do not own skates can rent them at the arena, and a skate helper is also available to rent. The park district's listing calls it a teen skate without giving an exact age range, and it shows no registration step. ## Similar picks coming up in Chicago - [Skate with Santa Open Skate at Oak Lawn Ice Arena](https://grassyknees.com/chicago/activities/skate-with-santa-open-skate-at-oak-lawn-ice-arena--listing-2a05f22cdc6559333093ab59) — Sun, Dec 13 · 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM · Oak Lawn Ice Arena · From $10 · checked Oct 27.
