The main event is the Parent-Child Free Throw Shootout: each parent-and-child team takes 10 shots per person to see who will be named Turkey Shoot Champion. Around it run extra skill stations: a Dribble Dash through cones for the younger age groups, Dribble Zones to see who can keep dribbling longest for older kids and adults, and a Timed Shooting Challenge of lay-ups, free throws and three-pointers for all ages. The park district promises prizes and music, and possibly a visit from its mascot Duke Mallard. Registration is through the park district's online link; the page does not print a fee. ## Similar picks in Chicago - [Lincolnwood Turkey Trot and Kids' Drumstick Dash](https://grassyknees.com/chicago/activities/lincolnwood-turkey-trot-and-kids-drumstick-dash--listing-896978d5c4a40c74b5bf19b8) — Sun, Nov 22 · 8:45 AM – 10:30 AM · Proesel Park, Lincolnwood · Up to 6 · From $26 · checked Oct 30.
