Middletown's annual City Building Trick-or-Treat and Touch-a-Truck invites kids in costume into City Hall on the Thursday before Halloween, October 29, from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. City staff dress up and hand out treats as children make their way through every floor of the building, and the city hints that 'something magical is afoot' this year. Outside on the plaza, Middletown Fire, Police and Public Works trucks are lined up for touch-a-truck: kids can climb aboard, check out the lights and sirens, and pose for Halloween photos. The after-school hours and indoor route make it an easy, low-key outing for preschoolers and elementary-age children; bring a candy bag and a camera. The city's page does not mention a fee or registration. The City Building is the city's offices at One Donham Plaza.
