Miami Valley Ballet Theatre brings The Nutcracker to the Fairfield Community Arts Center for eight performances over two December weekends. The ballet follows little Clara on a Christmas Eve that turns into a night of enchantment with her magical Nutcracker Prince, and the company describes its staging as a traditional approach blended with innovative style. Performances are Fridays, December 4 and 11, at 7 p.m.; Saturdays, December 5 and 12, at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sundays, December 6 and 13, at 2 p.m., with each show scheduled for about two hours. Tickets are $22 and go on sale November 2 by phone at 513-867-5348, in person at the arts center on Wessel Drive, or online through the city's ticketing site.
