For one Saturday the Downtown Main Library turns its Reading Garden and Kids Area into an urban pumpkin patch. Children can choose their own pumpkin to take home for free, and this year the event adds a petting zoo with animals from Sun E Farms. It runs 11 am to 3 pm on October 24, so families can drop in around naps or other downtown plans. It suits toddlers through early elementary children who may not get to a farm patch this fall, and it is a handy stop before Halloween. No registration is mentioned on the listing.
