Be Strong teaches boys in grades 4 through 7 how to move well and build strength and muscular endurance using only their own body weight. Coaches start with form and technique for basic movements such as squats, push-ups and lunges, plus variations that build strength safely. As skills improve, the moves are combined into faster workouts for agility, endurance and power, with technique still checked along the way. The fall series meets Monday afternoons, 3:30 to 4:30, on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, 9 and 16 in OSU Fitness Studio #2 on the second floor of the Philip Heit Center.
