## About

Main Street Delaware's gingerbread contest gives builders about three hours to assemble a house, then opens the tables for judging. The 2026 Christmas overview sets the start at COhatch on East William Street. A ticket includes a basic gingerbread house kit. Decorations beyond the kit are up to the builder, and each entry needs its own base no larger than 20 by 20 inches. Judging starts at 7:15 p.m. Neighbors vote by setting a canned-food donation in front of the house they like. A panel of judges also awards gold, silver, and bronze. The page calls this the second year of the contest. The registration form linked from that overview still describes a different clock time and a Saturday, December 6 date, so the afternoon start on December 5 is the date used here and is flagged for confirmation.
