From Saturday, November 21, 2026, COSI turns the science museum into a holiday wonderland for its Season of Celebrations. This year the Forest of Community Trees, dozens of trees decorated by local schools, nonprofits and organizations to tell stories about Columbus's diverse communities, moves to the Traveling Exhibitions Gallery on Level 2, where a life-sized yeti greets visitors. New themed zones and expanded photo spots run through the public spaces, and the Winter Chill Speakeasy near the forest serves seasonal food and drinks. In the classic Progress exhibit, actors from Columbus Children's Theatre bring the 1898 and 1962 streets to life with holiday interactions from noon to 3 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. The displays come with regular COSI admission, so the holiday décor fits around a normal museum day with the hands-on science exhibits.
