The Grand Cowgirl Parade fills the streets around the museum with horses, Western riding groups and floats, and it is free to watch anywhere along the route, with reserved seats also offered. At noon the expanded museum opens to the public, showing new galleries and exhibitions and the new Cowgirl Carousel as the museum starts its next 50 years. Children who love horses and rodeo will enjoy the parade, and the carousel is a new reason to visit the museum with kids.
