Participants learn to build a shelter and a fire, navigate, handle first aid and other cold-weather wilderness skills, and spend Saturday night camping on the farm. Families can borrow the program's camping gear or bring their own, but must bring their own bedding, food and water bottle. It is open to adults and youth 7 and up, and every young person must be accompanied by a registered adult — a good fit for a parent and an older child who want a real overnight challenge close to the city. The program runs Saturday from noon into the evening and Sunday morning until noon. ## Similar picks in Dallas–Fort Worth - [Fall Adventure Camp at Samuell Farm](https://grassyknees.com/dallas-fort-worth/activities/fall-adventure-camp-at-samuell-farm--listing-648652bc2c82e9b5165bf07f) — Nov 23 – Nov 25 · 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM · Samuell (East) Farm, Mesquite · From $50 · checked Oct 24.
