Walnut Wednesdays are a monthly hour of hands-on family fun at the Frisco Heritage Center in the Rail District, each with a different theme. On October 28 (Nature Adventure) families make tree-ring necklaces, create nature journals, craft seed balls and look at the center's collection of animal skins and skulls. November 18 brings Walnut's Friendsgiving, a Thanksgiving-themed session of crafts and family time. December 9 is Winter Wonderland, with cheerful holiday crafts and keepsakes to take home and activities for all ages and abilities. Every session runs 10 to 11 am on a Wednesday morning, which suits preschoolers, homeschoolers and grandparents with little ones. Check the city's Heritage events page for any registration or fee details before you go, since none are printed.
