## About

The DCPA Theatre Company's musical A Christmas Carol, a family holiday tradition in the Wolf Theatre, has one accessible performance this season: the Sunday matinee on December 6 at 1:30 pm offers American Sign Language interpretation, audio description for blind and low-vision guests, and open captioning. It suits families with Deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind or low-vision members, and children who follow a story better with captions. The production follows Ebenezer Scrooge's overnight journey to redemption with music and the three ghosts; it runs about two hours with one 15-minute intermission and is recommended for ages 6 and up, with children 4 and older welcome if they hold a ticket. The DCPA warns that it has period language, ghost scenes that may frighten younger children, stage fog and haze, and strobe lighting about 25 minutes into Act I and 37 minutes into Act II. A study guide is available on the show page for preparing kids beforehand.
