## About

South Suburban Parks and Recreation turns a Saturday public skate into a Halloween party on the ice at the two-sheet Family Sports Center arena in Centennial. Skaters of any age can come in costume, glide to kid-friendly tunes, enter a costume contest for fun prizes, and pick up sweet treats; it is a drop-in session, so no registration is needed beyond the usual public-skating admission and skate rental. It suits beginners who can hold the wall as well as confident young skaters; helmets and warm layers are a good idea for little ones. The district runs the same Spooky Skate at the South Suburban Sports Complex.
