## About

South Park City Museum in Fairplay preserves and exhibits historic buildings and artifacts from Park County's 1859 gold-rush era and is normally open only from May 15 to October 15. On Halloween it opens again for a haunted museum trick-or-treat that the museum bills as a family night of fun and candy, with free admission and lots of goodies for children in costume. It is one of the few Halloween events in Park County. The museum collects donated candy at its visitor center drop-off ahead of the night. Neither the museum nor the town calendar publishes start or end times, so call the museum before making the drive; Fairplay sits on Highway 9 in South Park.
