Local makers and small businesses sell handmade goods, gifts and stocking stuffers from market stalls, and the square around it is set up for a family outing: the McGregor Skate outdoor ice rink runs next to the market, the big screen shows holiday programming, and restaurants and bars around the plaza serve food and warm drinks. On six of the market days Santa Dinger, the Colorado Rockies mascot in a Santa suit, poses for free photos, so many families time their visit to his appearance. Entry to the market is free; shopping, food, drinks and skating are paid separately, and skate rental is available at the rink. Market hours apply only to the listed weekend dates, with earlier closing on Sundays. ## Similar picks in Denver - [Photos with Santa Dinger at McGregor Square](https://grassyknees.com/denver/activities/photos-with-santa-dinger-at-mcgregor-square--listing-d51703da771f83395b09a706) — Fri, Nov 27 (+5 more dates) · McGregor Square · All ages · Free · checked Oct 27.
