Dr. Aldora White Eagle, a descendant of the Sand Creek Massacre, hosts a 30-minute interactive story time at Virginia Village Branch Library for ages 0–7 and their families. A read-aloud pairs Sand Creek Massacre storytelling with Arapaho culture, offering a gentle, age-appropriate way to commemorate a hard part of Colorado's past. Afterward young learners open mini 'Inquiry Trunks' filled with safe, touchable objects tied to the story, building early literacy and sparking family conversations. Free.
