## About

The City of Thornton holds its Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center to honor the courage, service and sacrifice of the nation's veterans. The hour-long morning program is free and the city welcomes all ages, so it works for families who want to bring children, scout troops or homeschool groups to a civic ceremony. Afterward The Donut House and the Thornton Active Adult Center serve doughnuts and coffee. A shuttle runs from the aquatic center and Trail Winds Recreation Center parking lots, and in bad weather the ceremony moves indoors to Trail Winds Recreation Center.
