Each Tuesday-evening session uses gentle, modified poses, breathing exercises and guided relaxation to work on flexibility, balance, coordination and mindfulness, with instruction adjusted so everyone can take part at their own level. The class is low-impact and deliberately calm, which suits tweens and teens with disabilities who benefit from structured movement and a quiet, predictable routine, as well as adults. The session runs for seven weeks through mid-December, one hour each week, and the fee covers the full session. Registration is through the city's online recreation system, with a lower rate for Sterling Heights residents. ## Similar picks in Detroit - [Adaptive Basketball: NEAR League Teams — Sterling Heights](https://grassyknees.com/detroit/activities/adaptive-basketball-near-league-teams-sterling-heights--listing-f14c41cf3b0d0a9fad40ecf1) — Thursdays, 6–7 p.m., November 12, 2026 – February 25, 2027 (practices first, league… · Sterling Heights Community Center · Ages 13+ · From $64 · adaptive · checked Oct 27.
