Vendors sell handmade gifts, specialty foods, fresh greens and wreaths, and a warming tent gives families a break from the cold. For children the main draw is Santa's Village: Santa takes visits from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and he reads a Santa story-time at 6 p.m. on Friday and at 1 and 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Rochester Lions Club runs marshmallow roasting and hot chocolate and sells toys, and a music stage hosted by The Roxy adds entertainment, with the line-up still to be announced. The Saturday afternoon story-time is the easiest slot for younger children, while the evenings suit families who want to see the downtown lights after dark. ## Similar picks in Detroit - [Supper with Santa at Greenfield Village](https://grassyknees.com/detroit/activities/supper-with-santa-at-greenfield-village--listing-fd8e780f90eb2bc9c15bda68) — Thu, Dec 3 (+5 more dates) · 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM · Greenfield Village – A Taste of History restaurant (The Henry Ford), Dearborn · All ages · From $5 · checked Oct 30.
