Parents drop children off for two hours on Tuesdays, and a naturalist leads the small group through a weekly theme with short hikes, discovery games and hands-on exploration of whatever the season offers outdoors. The program is designed to build curiosity and independence, so children need to be potty-trained and comfortable being away from a parent for the morning. Pack a snack and a water bottle and dress for outdoor play; the group heads inside only when the weather turns severe.
