## About

The City of Farmington Hills opens its Ice Arena for a low-cost Mid-Day Open Skate four days a week, Monday through Thursday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Admission is $3 per person and skate rental is another $3 a pair, which makes it one of the least expensive ways in Oakland County to get a preschooler, homeschooler or parent on the ice on a weekday. The 70,000-square-foot arena has two ice surfaces, concessions, locker rooms and lockers. The mid-day session runs through June 17, 2027; there is no skate on Thanksgiving (November 26, 2026), Christmas Day, New Year's Day or January 18, 2027, when the arena has an event, and the schedule can change. Children who want instruction can join the city's Learn to Skate program for ages 3 through adult, offered as drop-in sessions with punch cards.
