## About

Oakland County Parks invites families to Red Oaks Nature Center in Madison Heights for a Saturday morning of hands-on science experiments, billed as a chance to unleash the mad scientist inside. Children get to try the experiments themselves rather than just watch a demonstration, which makes this a good fit for curious kids who like to mix, test and see what happens. The county describes the program as suitable for all ages, so younger children and older siblings can take part together with their grown-ups. The play day runs for two hours, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on November 14, and each participant pays $10. Spots are limited by preregistration: payment is required in advance, either online through the county parks registration system or by phone at 248-858-0916 on weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours. It makes an easy indoor-outdoor outing on a mid-November weekend before the holiday rush.
