The expo is built around hands-on tables, demonstrations and take-home resources that tie STEAM ideas to nature and everyday life, so children can test, build and ask questions rather than read panels. It is a drop-in afternoon: families can spend an hour at the expo tables and then explore the center's permanent hands-on exhibits and simulators about Michigan's outdoors. The event suits a range of ages, from preschoolers who want to touch everything to older kids curious about how things work. The expo is included with regular admission; a quieter accessibility session runs in the morning before it. ## Similar picks in Detroit - [Accessibility Hours at the STEAM Expo — DNR Outdoor Adventure Center](https://grassyknees.com/detroit/activities/accessibility-hours-at-the-steam-expo-dnr-outdoor-adventure-center--listing-3a5727e0b8e1d817f4336110) — Sun, Nov 8 · 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM · DNR Outdoor Adventure Center · From $5 · checked Oct 27.
