## About

The Astronomy Club at the BASF Planetarium in Clute meets one evening a month and is open to all ages, which makes it a good first step for a child who is curious about the night sky. The first hour is inside the dome, with a guided sky tour on the planetarium projector plus short presentations and discussion. In the second hour the group moves out to the parking lot for real night-sky observing, weather permitting. Meetings in this window are November 19 and December 17, 2026 and January 21, 2027; a few meetings this year were cancelled for other center events, so check the schedule before driving out. Dress warmly for the outdoor half on winter evenings. No fee is listed for the club.
