On Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m., Children's Museum Houston's ExxonMobil-sponsored MindFest series sets kids an engineering task: design, build and test a custom claw that can grab a target in a giant hands-on claw machine. Children work through problem-solving and design iterations in the Kids' Hall Alcove, testing whether their claw can grab and drop the prize. A follow-up 'Overtime' round continues the challenge the following Thursday. It suits elementary and middle-school builders who like tinkering, with younger siblings able to help. Included with general admission.
