Clara's Christmas Eve story plays out with the Mouse King battle, the Land of Snow and the Land of Sweets; this year Ballet West dancers Maren Florence and Hadriel Diniz appear as the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. Five performances over the first weekend of December, including two matinees, make it a closer-to-home alternative for Cy-Fair, Tomball and northwest Houston families. The CFISD Visual & Performing Arts Center has a clear-bag policy, so pack accordingly. ## Similar picks in Houston - [The Nutcracker — Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre](https://grassyknees.com/houston/activities/the-nutcracker-bay-area-houston-ballet-and-theatre--listing-ee8e7433a2a8b48882315482) — Fri, Dec 4 (+9 more dates) · 7:30 PM · Bayou Theater, University of Houston–Clear Lake · Paid · checked Oct 24.
