Each week has a lesson with preschool-style activities, games, an animal encounter and a craft to take home; the same lesson runs on all class days that week. The fall 2026 theme is L'il Zoologists, with remaining topics on mammals (Oct 29–31), marsupials (Nov 12–14), life cycles (Nov 19–21) and food chains (Dec 3–5). Classes are capped at twelve children, registration closes at 8 a.m. the Saturday before each week, and strollers and extra children cannot come into the classroom. Classes move indoors in bad weather. ## Similar picks in Jacksonville - [Spooktacular at Jacksonville Zoo](https://grassyknees.com/jacksonville/activities/spooktacular-at-jacksonville-zoo--listing-5b4f68095af1d1aecc8b1eb5) — Sat, Oct 24 (+4 more dates) · 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM · Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens · All ages · From $35 · checked Oct 24.
