## About

Families build a nesting box for Missouri's state bird at George Owens DeWitt Hall, a Saturday workshop Independence Parks and Recreation says is meant to keep bluebirds safe through winter. Each kit is $25. The page says people ages 10 and older can take part if an adult is with them, and that registration is required by December 6 because space fills. It is a make-and-take project, and the page suggests the finished house can be a gift. Tools and the kit come with the class; the page does not say to bring lumber. Plan on the posted 1:00 pm start and register before the cutoff if you want a spot.
