## About

A Saturday nature talk at George Owens Nature Park looks at scavengers the city calls detritivores: worms, snails, algae, and fungus, and the work they do eating what other animals leave behind. Independence Parks and Recreation lists it as a free event geared toward kids ages 13 and under, on January 23, 2027, at 1:00 pm. The page does not ask families to register and does not print an end time. It is one visit at the nature park, outdoors in the category tags, at the park address on Speck Road rather than a named indoor hall. Dress for a January afternoon outside.
