Northland elementary school choirs sing from 3 pm, followed by local bands playing holiday songs on the main stage, hosted by the co-hosts of KCTV5's My KC Live!. New this year are train rides, 'magical snow' and a snowball fight with 1,000 synthetic snowballs, and a giant holiday coloring wall. Photo stops include the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, a miniature 'reindeer' horse and pajama-clad baby goats, plus a photo booth that prints a keepsake picture. Food trucks are on site, and a giveaway at the Zona tent lasts while supplies last. The finale comes at 6 pm, when Santa arrives to switch on the lights on the district and its Grand Christmas tree. ## Similar picks in Kansas City - [Mayor's Holiday Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade (Leavenworth)](https://grassyknees.com/kansas-city/activities/mayor-s-holiday-tree-lighting-and-holiday-parade-leavenworth--listing-423bd2639f22bf25f99200fb) — Fri, Nov 20 · 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM · Haymarket Square, Leavenworth · checked Oct 16.
