A Southern Nevada Conservancy interpretive naturalist leads this two-hour craft session in the Exhibit Area behind the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. Participants learn to turn used metal materials such as old soda cans and antique keys into statement jewelry, practicing cutting, stamping and shaping metal while giving recyclables a second life as accessories. All supplies are provided. Because the program involves metal tools, it has an age limit of 16+, so it is aimed at older teens (alongside adults) who enjoy hands-on making and upcycling. The program is free and needs no registration, but the Visitor Center sits on the Scenic Drive, so a Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive timed-entry reservation from recreation.gov (or 1-877-444-6777) is required. Dress for the weather and bring water.
