LA Recreation and Parks sets up a Día de los Muertos community altar in the Exposition Park Rose Garden, led by artist-in-residence Liseth Amaya with the Los Angeles Parks Foundation. For six days around the holiday, the public can visit the altar between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and leave notes, pictures and trinkets for their loved ones. Visitors can drop in during open hours; the flyer lists no registration.
