Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Recreation Center's annual Fall Festival on the Friday before Halloween welcomes all ages for an evening of seasonal music, arts and crafts, classic carnival games, game booths with stamp cards, face painting and raffle prizes. There are two costume contests—one for people and one for dogs—so the family pet can come in costume too. It runs 4:30 to 8:30 pm on October 30 and admission is free.
