Working en plein air — painting outside from life — families paint the park's iconic holiday tree and the ocean horizon together, guided by an art instructor. There are two sessions to choose from on Saturday, December 12: 9 to 11:30 a.m. or noon to 2:30 p.m., each about two and a half hours, so it suits school-age children who can stay focused on a painting. The Conservancy notes that the schedule may change because of weather. Fees, age guidance and registration details are not printed on the event page; contact the Conservancy at 949.376.6200 or info@crystalcove.org to reserve. ## Similar picks in Los Angeles - [Holiday Family Craft Workshop (Palmdale)](https://grassyknees.com/los-angeles/activities/holiday-family-craft-workshop-palmdale--listing-94197eadf31a169ddeb619d7) — Sat, Dec 12 · 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM · Sam Yellen Park community building (also Marie Kerr Park community building), Palmdale · Free · checked Oct 16.
