The 10 a.m. performance runs until 10:30 a.m., and the library's December children's calendar also lists an 11 a.m. performance. The library describes it as a narrated adaptation of the holiday ballet made for young audiences, with professional dancers in costume, the story's main characters and selections from Tchaikovsky's score, as an introduction to classical ballet and music. The program is for ages 6 to 11, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required: it opened on Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 a.m. through the library's RSVP link, and each registration should include the total number of people attending. The program is funded by the Library Foundation of Newport Beach. ## Similar picks in Los Angeles - [Festival Ballet Theatre: The Nutcracker at Irvine Barclay Theatre](https://grassyknees.com/los-angeles/activities/festival-ballet-theatre-the-nutcracker-at-irvine-barclay-theatre--listing-694c71ee786612b514430041) — Sat, Dec 5 (+9 more dates) · 2:00 PM · Irvine Barclay Theatre · All ages · Paid · checked Oct 14.
