The train pulls in around 4 p.m.; a short show follows with live music performed from the train's stage car and an appearance by Santa, and the train leaves again at about 4:45 p.m. Snacks and drinks are sold on State Street from 3:30 p.m. Train-loving toddlers and preschoolers enjoy seeing the decorated locomotive and cars up close, and the whole event is short enough for little ones. Times depend on when the train actually arrives, so plan for some waiting outdoors and dress warmly.
