Santa arrives by holly, jolly trolley, and from 5:30 p.m. families get a Christmas concert, cookies, cider and carols, along with free make-and-take crafts set up by local businesses. The Cedarburg Junior Woman's Club runs a Secret Santa Workshop where children can pick out small gifts, and Santa's Mailbox for dropping off letters. The evening builds to the lighting of the tree at 7 p.m., led by Santa and local dignitaries. With crafts indoors and a fixed countdown, it works for preschoolers through elementary-age kids, and the early start lets little ones get home at a reasonable hour. Downtown Cedarburg's Friday-night luminaries and free trolley rides start the same month, so the tree lighting fits easily into a wider holiday visit to the historic downtown. ## Similar picks in Milwaukee - [Small Business Saturday and Tree Lighting — Menomonee Falls Downtown](https://grassyknees.com/milwaukee/activities/small-business-saturday-and-tree-lighting-menomonee-falls-downtown--listing-598e539297e958c2628d266c) — Sat, Nov 28 · 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM · Centennial Plaza and Menomonee Falls Downtown District · All ages · checked Oct 27.
